After an obscenely long delay, the fourth update for version 2 of the Yii framework has been posted. This brings the book to version 1.7. It begins Part III of the book, through Chapter 16, for Yii 2. You can download both the complete Yii 1 version of the book and the partial Yii 2 version.

The third update for version 2 of the Yii framework has been posted. This is a wee little update, bringing the book to version 1.6. It completes Part II of the book, through Chapter 14, for Yii 2. You can download both the complete Yii 1 version of the book and the partial Yii 2 version.

The second update for version 2 of the Yii framework has been posted. I'm calling this version 1.5 of the book, marking that it's half-way through the second edition. It updates the first 300 pages (through Chapter 12) of the book for Yii 2. You can download both the complete Yii 1 version of the book and the partial Yii 2 version.

The first update for version 2 of the Yii framework has been posted. I'm calling this version 1.3 of the book, although this is officially the start of the second edition. I just shipped version 1.0, which adds Part 4 of the book, three new chapters. The book is now 649 pages long! Now to start working on the update for Yii 2!

I just shipped version 0.9, which adds Chapter 20, "Working with Third-Party Libraries," and Chapter 21, "Testing Your Application". The book is now 575 pages long! Only three chapters left, which I'll try to finish quickly.

I just posted the rough draft of Chapter 20, "Working with Third-Party Libraries"! I'll post another formal update after I've written Chapter 21, "Implementing Unit Testing".

I just shipped version 0.8, which adds Chapter 19, "Extending Yii"! The book is now over 500 pages long! Next week, I start on Chapter 20, "Working with Third-Party Libraries".

I just posted a new update which includes two new chapters: Chapter 17, "Improving Performance," and Chapter 18, "Advanced Database Issues".

I'm trying to get two new chapters to the tech editors today: Chapter 17, "Improving Performance," and Chapter 18, "Advanced Database Issues". Once I get the notes back, I'll do another update.

The latest release went out on July 1, 2013, which includes through Chapter 16. I'm currently working on the next release, which will contain Chapter 17, "Improving Performance," and Chapter 18, "Advanced Database Issues".
